H2K NAIL SPA

I've been in limbo for the past few months, searching for a new nail salon. After a few fails, I finally went to H2K Nail Salon, and I've found my new home! Seriously, I teared up a little bit because it's hard out here. Twan IS my new Director of Creative Nail Art! The environment is comfortable, and everyone is friendly but efficient. The salon is extremely clean and well maintained. I was able to make an appointment, which is ideal for me vs. walk in only salons. Twan is a perfectionist and prideful... I love every second of it. My nails were beautiful before we even got to the design, and I was sold! I asked for stiletto and got stiletto!!! You all are amazing!

This nail shop is so bad, I went over two weeks ago and have been sitting thinking about how terrible they are. I’m from Baton Rouge, moving to the Metairie area and I loved their reviews and their photos so I thought, why not give them a try. First thing, I made an appointment, also described what I wanted at the time of making the appointment. When I get in (a first timer) everyone looks at me like I should already know they check in process. I sit down to get my pedi (50 bucks for just lotion and a hot towel) as she is doing the pedi I show her the design I want for my nails. I pick a color for my toes based on the design of my nails. She finishes and I sit down to start my mani, the manicurist comes back with dip powder telling me it’ll be best for what I want, I say okay. She tells me they will start with a base pink powder, I say okay. This woman is about 10 minutes from completing my nails when she says “there is a long wait for your design” I ask her what does she mean, and she says “for you to get your design you have to wait about an hour” … I ask her when did she know that, and why didn’t she tell me before she started dipping my nails in the more expensive powder. (One of those things, if I couldn’t get what I wanted, I could’ve went elsewhere)… I politely explained to her that I picked my toes based off of the design I wanted, and that if I knew they wouldn’t do what I wanted, I could’ve just picked an actual color that I liked for the SNS, not to the basic “‘natural pink”. Nothings wrong with the color but when you pay for something, of course you should be paying for what you prefer. She changed my toe nail color, which was done so terribly I had to go pay someone else to do a completely new set, and a new pedicure. It simply felt like a “play the new person” and I 100 percent know they treated me a certain way because of my appearance that day (sweatpants, hoodie, African head wrap, & I’d just came from the dog park so I had lots of dirt on me). No one tried to fix the issues I had, not even owners or management, they didn’t even offer to lower the terrible service. Needless to say, I spent $100 unnecessary dollars.

H2k is my favorite nail salon in the city! They never rush your appointment and that makes me feel taken care of. They have a nice selection of colors to choose from. I like that they take appointments and do not take walk-ins all the time so the technicians aren’t rushing to finish your nails. My nails are always perfect! Highly recommend!

Today was my first time here, and it was perfect. Lin and Tim were fantastic! I expressed to Lin how I didn’t like how thick my nails had turned out from previous dips and recently acrylic, so she made sure to make them as natural looking as possible. Tim nailed my inspo 😍 I LOVE how they came out (acrylic w/dip almond shape). They both did amazing from length, shape, and design. I’ll be back! Also, they were pretty busy for a Wednesday afternoon, so definitely reserve an appointment.
